        Oh Sister Moon!

I stand and applaud you as you leave the stage this morning…

Tonight’s performance has been exquisite!

The marvelous graphic above is digital art by Duane Hilton

who very kindly gave me permission to feature his art on

my website....and he also gave me the honor of naming it!

So, voila, feast your eyes on LUNA PACIFICA!

And my friend Lee Sagari loves to write down the exquisite

messages the moon and stars sing to her. Here are some

more of her Celestial Poems...

***************

The moon’s cut loose and has become a cloud.

She was tired of being so predictable.

Now she can float freely through the sky and see new sights.

Now she can surrender to the whims of the wind and

rain moisture on to the earth.

And now she can fulfill her ultimate desire…to disappear into the sun’s rays

which she has reflected for so long.

Today I caught the moon before she disappeared.

What a sweet being to hold so close.

I whispered to her of my love and showered her with kisses of gratitude

for she is my sister always.

I peeked around the trees to see Sister Moon this morning

and she was shinning so bright that I knew she had been with her man…

that wonderful man in the moon.

The moon is full…full of mischief.

She’s hiding behind the clouds whispering,

“Try to find me!”

So I look and find her within, within myself.

As a child I would gaze endlessly up at the night sky

and record its stars on paper.

These pages of dots I could hold close and they became proof of my love.

Now, I’ve become one with the dark and mysterious night sky.

His arms have enfolded me and I’ve been taken.

The proof of our loving shines out of the stars in my eyes.

The Big Dipper has just tipped over

and is showering us  with every possible blessing.

Can you stand it?

I have such big ears that I overheard the clouds

whispering advice to one another.

I could tell that they were speaking from a place of knowing.

Today they said: “Don’t hold back…

don’t hold back what you have to offer for it’s needed.

Do it now…do it now,

for who knows how long you’ll have before you disappear into the sky.”

When I was a child, I was fascinated with the stars,

the night sky, the clouds, the moon.

They were my playmates then and as you see, nothing’s changed…

I’m still that child and they are still my playmates.
