Prayers of
Blessing
_________________________
I was
in a prayer group in Texas (and have since continued that way of prayer here in
Arizona) which was part of an international prayer organization called
Invitation to Life. It is based on the vision of a French woman named Yvonne
Trubert. Yvonne taught us to only name a person that we are praying for, rather
than to name what we think is the best outcome for a person. We don't know the
truth of the BIG PICTURE of what is happening to that person, and what lessons
the Soul may be learning as a result of something that appears, to us,
unfortunate.
In
practical application, although I do acknowledge the wisdom of that, when we see
someone we love suffering with illness, it is natural to wish them to be healed.
If we see them having financial difficulties, we may wish to pray for prosperity
for them, etc. All of these loving wishes may - or MAY NOT - be what serves the
person's highest good, and the goals of the Soul.
So,
when I can't resist the longing to pray for a certain outcome for someone, I
include the following, in acknowledgment of the fact that I may not truly know
what is best for my beloved one.
THE
KARMIC CLAUSE:
May
this or something better now be manifest in accordance with the highest good for
all concerned. Amen.

A PRAYER for MY
FRIENDS
Father/Mother God/Goddess,
I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now. I am asking You to
minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is
pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self-doubting, release a
renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them.
Where there is
tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, patience, and
strength as they learn submission to Your leading.
Where there is
spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and
by drawing them into greater intimacy with You.
Where there is fear,
reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage.
Where there is a an
obstacle blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over my friend's life.
Bless their
finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders, and friends to
support and encourage them.
Give each of them
discernment to recognize the destructive forces around them, and reveal
to them the power they have in You to overcome them.
I ask You to do
these things in Jesus' name, and in the name of Quan Yin and Mother Mary,
and Great Spirit, and all the 113 names that mean God. Amen.

Bless us from the
South with the warm wet winds that invite growth.
Bless us from the
West with the winds that lead us through this life to the next.
Bless us from the

THE MAYAN PRAYER OF
THE SEVEN GALACTIC DIRECTIONS
in Galactic directions counter-clockwise:
From the East, House of Light
May wisdom dawn in us so we may see all things in
clarity.
From the North, House of Night
May wisdom ripen in us so we may know all from within.
From the West, House of Transformation
May wisdom be transformed into right action so we may do what must be done.
From the South, House of the Eternal Sun
May right action reap the harvest so we may enjoy the fruits of planetary
being.
From above, House of Heaven
Where star people and ancestors gather. May their blessings come to us now.
From Below, House of Earth
May the heartbeat of Her crystal core bless us with harmonies to end all
wars.
From the Center, Galactic Source
Which is everywhere at once, may everything be known as the Light of Mutual
Love.

SUFI
BLESSING for FOOD
This
blessing is often sung at Sufi and Dances of Universal Peace gatherings and
retreats. It can be sung to a number of different tunes. My favorite is to
sing it to the tune of Amazing Grace:
Oh,
Thou, the Sustainer of our bodies, hearts and souls,
Bless
all that we thankfully receive.
(If
singing it to the melody of Amazing Grace, repeat twice to complete the
melody of one verse.)
