The Buddha Face

Deep in the night stars are falling, falling
Echoes thru my soul are calling, calling
Moonlight on water softly glistens
With my whole body I listen, listen

I feel my heart start to open, open
With that one word that is spoken
I lay down my sword and I surrender
Into the void of forgiveness I enter

I float upon a silver sea
Where no one's been, not even me
So calm that tide is never seen
In silver blue, in silver green

The universe is with me there
The breath of life mingled with the air
And the sun and stars and space
All these things, the Buddha face

Deep in my soul I feel a yearning
Always it's there, to be returning
Back to the journey that's never begun
Where everything in creation is one

On waters of endless love I travel
Perceptions and judgments start to unravel
Fears and illusions falling behind
Like soft grains of sand that slip thru my mind

I float upon a silver sea
Where no one's been, not even me
So calm that tide is never seen
In silver blue, in silver green

The universe is with me there
The breath of life mingled with the air
And the sun and stars and space
All these things, the Buddha face

"Humankind is being led along an evolving course...and though we seem to be sleeping, there is an inner wakefulness that directs the dream, and that will eventually startle us back to the truth of who we are." ~Rumi
