I love to make Circle of Friends necklaces for friends on special occasions. None of these necklaces are for sale, because they were made especially for particular people. But perhaps they will give you ideas....

Patricia's necklace

I first got the idea for "Circle of Friends" necklaces when one of the women in a group I participated in gave all of us in the group these wonderful wheel pendants. I suggested we all give each other beads, and then get together to make necklaces. Patricia discovered that she didn't enjoy doing the beadwork so she asked me to make her necklace for her. Amazingly, everyone in the group brought blue or white beads for Patricia.

Kaye's necklace

My friend Kaye went to live in Europe for about 6 months. As a going-away gift for her, I asked her friends and family members to send me beads for her. From the many different beads and pendants received I made this necklace. This necklace is pretty complicated because of the many pendants. It's MUCH easier to create one with many beads. Figuring out how to hang a lot of pendants on the same necklace proved to be a challenge - but do-able!

Maya's necklace

After many years in the Sedona/Verde Valley, Maya moved back to her home state in another part of the country to be near her family. She had many friends here. As a farewell gift for her, I asked her friends to send me  beads and I made this necklace for her.

Lenore's necklace

My friend Lenore is such a giving person and is always doing something for others. So last year for her birthday I got in touch with as many of her friends and family members as I could find and asked for contributions of beads for a special birthday gift to let her know how much we appreciate her. This is what I made for her with all the contributions.

If you would like to have a Circle of Friends necklace of your own, ask all the people who love you to contribute beads. You can send them to me and I will create a special Circle of Friends necklace for you. I arrange them according to size and weight for the most pleasing combination of elements I can achieve.

The cost to have one of these necklaces made would range from about $20 to $50, depending on the number of beads/pendants and the complexity of design required to incorporate all of them. I supply whatever is needed to complete the necklace -- beading wire, seed beads or other small beads for spacers, and a clasp.
